Romanian Investment and Development Bank (RIDB)

The Romanian Investment and Development Bank  (in Romanian, “Banca de Investitii si Dezvoltare”) was created at the end of 2023, under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, being the only development bank in the country and it is 100% owned by the Romanian Ministry of Finance. The RIDB is thus a unique financial institution in the Romanian landscape and we proud ourselves with having a strong vision, an ambitious mission, and a clear set of strategic objectives.

European Investment Fund (EIF)

Who we are

The EIF designs financial instruments that absorb part of the risk that is taken by banks, guarantee institutions, microfinance lenders and funds when they finance small businesses, individuals, and infrastructure projects. The Investment and Development Fund of Montenegro (IDF)

General Information

The Investment and Development Fund of Montenegro (IRF Montenegro) was established by the adoption of the Law on the Investment and Development Fund of Montenegro AD ("Official Gazette of Montenegro No. 88", dated December 31, 2009).

The goal of establishing the institution is to encourage and accelerate the economic development of Montenegro. By establishing the Investment and Development Fund, the Government of Montenegro provided an efficient mechanism for supporting economic development, especially considering the current economic and financial crisis.

The activity of the Investment and Development Fund is defined through granting loans and issuing guarantees, performing activities related to the sale of capital in the portfolio of IDF CG A.D., as well as performing other activities that provide support for economic development.

Invest-NL

Invest-NL is a private company financed with public funds. It will actively participate on the commercial market as an impact investor, with the mission of making the Netherlands more sustainable and more innovative. The Dutch Ministry of Finance is the single shareholder. A supervisory board has been appointed to oversee the running of Invest-NL. Invest-NL currently has 40 employees. Additional information will be available at www.invest-nl.nl  as of 16 January 2020.

In the context of the energy transition, Invest-NL is focusing particularly on electrification and energy, circularity, agrifood and the built environment. When it comes to innovative scale-ups, the focus will primarily be on industrial technologies. Invest-NL intends to expand the market and provide financial backing for what once seemed unbackable. Alongside a willingness to take significant risks, Invest-NL is also prepared to invest large amounts with long maturities. Impact is paramount for Invest-NL: without impact there can be no financing.
