About Invest Europe
Invest Europe is the association representing Europe’s private equity, venture capital and infrastructure sectors, as well as their investors.
Invest Europe's role is to build global understanding and awareness of private equity, and to make a constructive contribution to policy affecting our membership in Europe.
We do this by explaining how private equity operates and its social and economic value. We contribute proactively and collaboratively to policy which affects European private capital investment.
Invest Europe is the most authoritative source of data, research and insight on private equity, shining a light on the industry's activity in Europe. We promote best practice and the highest standards of professional conduct through our professional standards guidelines and training. And we create must-attend events to foster valuable connections and facilitate the sharing of ideas and information throughout the industry.
The voice of private capital
Invest Europe is the world's largest association of private capital providers. We represent Europe’s private equity, venture capital and infrastructure investment firms, as well as their investors, including some of Europe’s largest pension funds and insurers.
Our aim is to promote a better understanding of private equity that enables our members to invest capital and expertise into improving businesses and generating returns for investors, free from unnecessary regulation and constraints.
Invest Europe’s members take a long-term approach to investing in privately-held companies, from start-ups to established firms. They inject not only capital but dynamism, innovation and expertise. This commitment helps create healthy and sustainable companies across Europe, securing millions of jobs and delivering strong returns for leading pension funds and insurers whose members depend on them for their retirements.

Shaping Policy
Invest Europe engages in Brussels on behalf of the European private equity, infrastructure and venture capital industry, playing a constructive part in developing EU and international legislation that shapes the future of the industry.
Working closely with national trade associations, we foster positive dialogue between our industry, policymakers, regulators, the press and the public to enhance understanding of and support for the industry.
We aim to be a constructive partner to EU and international institutions, helping policymakers to understand the positive contribution that private equity makes to Europe’s economy, and how policy affects its ability to make that contribution.
The Public Affairs team is supported by expert groups of advisers from across Europe, which share feedback through a number of Committees, Working Groups and Task Forces.
